Founded in 1987, our company has grown from a small local provider into a respected name across Northern Virginia. We hold active Virginia DCJS and Washington, D.C. licenses and are certified as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). That foundation of military discipline and community commitment continues to shape every decision we make. Our leadership team brings decades of hands-on experience in both security operations and risk management and remains directly involved with every client, ensuring responsive communication and personalized solutions.

Brett Gillies

Owner and President

Brett served over 11 years in the U.S. Navy as a helicopter pilot, honorably discharged at the rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR). Through his service and post-military years in product and project management, he earned extensive experience and skills translating directly to ASC’s security services: operations, risk management, planning, team leadership, quality assurance, and customer success. He is proud and honored to take the lead of ASC and its strong reputation into its next chapter!

Mansoor Hakami

Director of Operations

Mansoor Hakami has served as our Director of Operations for over seven years. He started his distinguished security career as a Guard Supervisor, Scout, and Interpreter supporting the U.S. Army. He became a Security Trainer Specialist in Kabul, Afghanistan and eventually relocated to the United States, excelling in multiple security roles leading to his current role with ASC. He is a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo and was a member of the Afghanistan National Team!

Rudo Robinson

DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

Rudo Robinson helps American Security & Control create a clearer, more responsive experience for clients seeking security, fire watch, and life safety support. He brings more than 15 years of experience managing security and fire watch projects, with a practical understanding of what clients need when coverage is urgent, compliance matters, and communication has to be clear.

For fire watch assignments, Rudo has an in-depth understanding of fire watch regulations across the Washington, DC metro area and helps clients navigate the operational and regulatory requirements that can come with these situations.   Through responsive follow-up, organized client communication, and strong working relationships, Rudo supports ASC’s commitment to dependable coverage, professional service, and long-term client trust.

Samantha Jimenez

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Samantha Jimenez supports American Security & Control as Executive Assistant, helping keep the company’s administrative operations organized, responsive, and efficient. She manages a wide range of company-wide administrative duties, including billing support, internal coordination, documentation, scheduling, and the systems that help ASC operate smoothly behind the scenes. By maintaining strong administrative infrastructure and reliable internal processes, Samantha helps ensure that clients, team members, and leadership receive timely support and clear communication throughout each stage of service delivery.
